Install the Companion App

iTeleporter devices work in pair with our proprietary enterprise iOS app named for software GPS debugging testing purpose only, the app is not for commercial use, and it's not publicly listed on App Store. The app is exclusively provided to our paid customers.

It's easy to install and start using the app by following the simple 1-2-3.

  1. If you plug in the iTeleporter device and the pop-up shows "App is not available". Please feel assured that our enterprise App is not enlisted in App Store. Please proceed with step below.
  2. Open the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad to download the latest companion app ”Double Location" from download page here
  3. We update our app very often, if your app become unverified, please come back in a few hours for the latest link. Compatible for iOS 9-13. Due to new restriction from Apple, all iOS 13 users MUST follow this guide.
  4. Click the "Open" >> "Install" button from the two popups. It may take a while to install.
  5. Once the app is downloaded, you need to take one more step before you can start using it. Go to iOS System Settings >> General >> Device Management and select the developer profile as a trusted developer.

Now, you're ready to go!

Basic App Guide: Lock to A Specific Location

We update the app frequently. If you try to open the app and an "Unable to Verify App" message pops up, delete existing app first and repeat app install step 1 to 3 to re-download and re-trust the app. The app download link on the step is updated regularly.

Every time you launch the app, you do need to agree to their terms and conditions.

Then it's very intuitive to change GPS location for a position lock:

  1. Open the app on your iPhone or iPad and ensure you're on the "Map" tab.
  2. Move the red location pin to a location that you want to teleport to.
  3. Or search a specific location or landmark in top search bar.
  4. Press the "Lock Position" button at the bottom of the screen.

And that's it, your fake location will now be used across iOS system and all the apps will behave as if you're really located in the spoofed location.

Note: If your device's Date and Time setting is configured as "Set Automatically", the time zone will automatically switch to the local time of the spoofed location. This is a self-explanatory result, but if it bothers you, you can turn off "Set Automatically" setting and switch to the specific local time zone.

Your fake location will remain active as long as the iTeleporter device is plugged in. To reset the GPS coordinates to your real location, simply unplug the device and your location will be restored to the real one over the next few minutes. To speed up the process, you can lock your position close to your actual location before unplugging the device.

Advanced App Guide

Fake your location by searching a specific coordinates

You are able to search for particular coordinate in the "Map" tab. Fortunately, there is a good workaround for it built within the app.

  1. Go to the "Map" tab and tap "G" button on the left.
  2. Input coordinates in the search bar.
  3. Tap on the WGS-84 coordinate system option on the second line.
  4. Finally, tap on "Lock Location".

Move around fake location with a planned route

To simulate movement, the companion app also has a multi-pin option on the map screen. It lets you choose a source and a destination and simulate a movement from location A to B. This can be useful in faking your live location with messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.

Motion control for in-app (especially for games) location change

You can also simulate movement around the map by simply tilting your iPhone or iPad up or down, right or left to go towards the corresponding direction. The companion app lets you configure the motion parameters.

  1. Ensure the iTeleporter device is plugged in and open the companion app on your iPhone or IPad and tap on the "About" tab.
  2. Under Experimental Library section, tap on "Motion".
  3. Hold the iPhone or iPad at a comfortable angle and tap on "Reset Position". This will be your neutral position for movement.
  4. You may also control the speed of your movement to be "Slow", "Medium" or "Fast".

Now go into the map app or any other app where you want to simulate movement by tilting your iPhone or iPad up, down, left, or right to simulate movement in the corresponding direction.

To toggle motion simulation on or off at any time, just turn your iOS device upside down.

Must-Read Best Practices

iTeleporter and the companion app are only for personal, non-commercial iOS GPS debugging or testing purpose. You're responsible for all the risks and damages from your actions.

In General:

iTeleporter is an iOS system-level GPS modifier. Since it's an ingenious certified hardware solution, 100% no jailbreak, no computer, no tweaked apps needed at any time. It will not be detected by any apps to ensure the highest safety level of iOS GPS spoofing.

it works for all iOS apps simultaneously for 4 modes below:

  1. Lock at a specific location.
  2. Mock movement of walking, biking, or driving with automatic routes from Google Maps.
  3. Motion control directional movement by tilting your iOS device.
  4. Joysticks from other devices (Any Android/iOS smartphones, tablets, and Windows/Mac computers) under the same WiFi.

For Real-time Location Tracking apps (Find Friends / Life360 / GeoZilla / Find iPhone / Google Maps / Waze / etc.)

  • Works in an extremely authentic way for all four modes above

For GPS-based Location Games (Pokemon Go / Ingress / Wizards Unite / etc.)

1. Please set the location you want to go BEFORE you open the game app. After you open the game, please DO NOT teleport any unrealistic long distances. After you enter the game, it is recommended to use Motion or Joystick to move, which can simulate the authentic movement.

2. When you want to teleport between two points that are far from each other (e.g. two regions, two cities, even two countries), please completely exit the game first, lock to a different position, and go back to the game again after the cool-down time of your game as shown below.

3. When you are using the Motion, if you want to stop somewhere to collect/check/battle, you could simply turn over your iPhone to pause or rerun the Motion. When you want to use Virtual Joystick, you must make sure the two devices are under a same WiFi. You could get access to the joystick controller by visiting the IP address shown in the "About" tab from the browser of another phone, tablet, or PC.

4. Locate Pokemon With Online Trackers: Don't have time to locate where a specific Pokemon might show up on the map? Utilize free online trackers to keep an eye on the surrounding area and know the status of gyms, raids, and other events appearing around you. Our top recommendation for such a website is The Silph Road, Pokemon Go Map, followed by PokeHuntr, but you can also find your own options by searching with your favorite search engine.

For Ridesharing / Delivery Apps (Uber / Lyft / Grab / Ola / etc)

Because we do not need to jailbreak your iPhone. Our device and app cannot be detected by any ridesharing apps. But it's against our policy to use it for commercial purpose. We assume no responsibility for any misuse of the product.

  1. First of all, you need go to Settings >> Privacy >> Location Services >> [the Ridesharing app you use] >> choose "Allow location access While Using the App" (DO NOT choose "Always")
  2. Before you simulate a location, you have to go offline and completely exit your Ridesharing app in the background. After you have set the location you want, open the Ridesharing and go online again.
  3. You can set a location to pick up passengers/orders (e.g. Airport).
  4. Turn ON the GPS Simulate module in the About tab.
  5. Input the altitude of the destination in the GPS Simulate setting, fetching the sea level from this link.
  6. After you have arrived at the location point you set before, you should stop (unplug) the simulation and use your real location for the journey.
  7. DO NOT teleport your location when Ridesharing is opened or operating at the background.
  8. You have to follow all instructions above to make your location reasonable from the perspective of Ridesharing apps.

Troubleshooting FAQ

Q1: "Unable to Verify App" pops up when open the app

A: This is a frequent certificate issue experienced by all the apps using Apple enterprise certificate. We update the app frequently. If you try to open the app and an "Unable to Verify App" message pops up, delete existing app first and repeat app install step 1 to 3 to re-download and re-trust the app. The app download link on the step is updated regularly.

This problem normally needs 2 to 24 hours to be solved. Please wait patiently.

Q2: "The request timed out" pops up when open the app

A: Due to our server locates in China. The connection is negatively impacted by the Great Fire Wall. The solution is simple, if you have a VPN, try to connect to a VPN and try again. We're updating the app to resolve this issue.

Q3: A blank map shows up

A: Please make sure you select About >> Settings >> Map >> GoogleMaps. Connect VPN to Hong Kong to improve the loading time. We are working hard to apply Google Maps directly in the app, this will be achieved in the near future and the loading time will be much faster. Please stay tuned.

If you don't have a VPN. Here is a easy workaround for it built within the app.

  1. Go to the "About" tab and tap on the "Google Maps HK" option available under other maps. It will open the web version of Google Maps, where you may search for any specific location or landmark.
  2. Once the searched location appears on the screen, you can pinpoint a specific address or a landmark, and its corresponding coordinates are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Just tap on the coordinates to copy them to clipboard.
  4. Now go back to the "Map" tab and paste the copied coordinates in the search bar. Tap on the WGS-84 coordinate system option on the second line.
  5. Finally, tap on "Lock Location" to fake your location to the searched address.

Q4: I lost my saved locations / favorites when the app updates.

A: We have provided a way to help you back up your saved locations.

  1. Go to "About" - "Settings" - "Export config" - "Save to files". Here you could save to iCloud Drive or On My iPhone.
  2. Go to the "Files" app on your iPhone and find the backup file you saved. The backup file is named as "GPS2019-xx-xx..."
  3. Open it and tap the share button. Choose our app to share the backup. Then you will import the backup to the app.

Q5: Why can't the GPS return to the actual position quickly after disconnecting the device?

A: This is normal. After disconnecting from the device, it takes 1-5 minutes to wait for the iPhone's GPS detector to re-determine the position before returning to the actual position. The recovery process can be accelerated in the outdoor open space.

We recommend that you avoid delays by simulating directly back to the actual position before disconnecting the device.

A special case of simulating a GPS location in a WiFi environment

If a location is often located under a certain WiFi, Apple may update the wrong coordinates of the WiFi gateway. As a result, the devices under the WiFi cannot be correctly located.

  1. Correct the WiFi coordinate information through multiple simulated positioning under WiFi.
  2. Modify the WiFi SSID name.
  3. Avoid locating a coordinate on a particular WiFi.

Q6: How do I enter coordinates manually?

A: Enter the coordinates directly in the search box and select the WGS-84 coordinate system option on the second line.
